Welcome to From Julie With Mixed Feelings! This blog has its name because at the time it began I was living in Russia and had another blog about my adventures there called From Russia With Mixed Feelings. At the time I thought that was the best pun ever written. I’ve since been disabused of that notion, but I like the title anyway so it’s staying.

I’m Julie (no surprises there) and I work in commodities journalism in London. You would think that after writing all day I’d want to do something different when I got home but apparently not. I write about things I’ve read, things I’ve seen, things I’ve made up and things I do (but not about the time I humiliated myself on a night bus). Outside of writing, reading and watching, I attempt to play roller derby, book holidays, and buy unusual jackets (like the one in my blog header).

Where else can you find me?
